FACILITIES TEAM ONBOARDING

The Facilities Development Program is a structured learning initiative designed to support Facilities Managers, Facilities Technicians I & II, and Porters throughout their career journey. The program provides onboarding, continued education, technical skills development, certifications, and career advancement opportunities through role-based learning paths, performance support resources, practical application activities, and leadership development. Together, these components build employee capability, confidence, operational excellence, and long-term career growth.

A training gap analysis identified opportunities to improve knowledge retention, technical proficiency, operational consistency, and long-term employee development across Facilities Managers, Facilities Technicians I & II, and Porters. To address these gaps, a comprehensive development program was designed to provide structured onboarding, continued education, certification opportunities, and clearly defined career pathways.

By aligning learning initiatives with operational expectations and business objectives, the program supports employee growth, improves performance, strengthens engagement, increases retention, and creates a scalable framework for continuous learning across the Facilities organization.

Program Purpose: To develop highly capable facilities professionals by providing the knowledge, skills, resources, and career development opportunities necessary to deliver safe, efficient, and exceptional property operations while supporting long-term career growth within the organization.

VIDEOS

Video content is a powerful way to capture attention, simplify complex topics, and support visual learners. Whether used for step-by-step training, process updates, promotional campaigns, or system walkthroughs, videos increase engagement, improve knowledge retention, and help employees adopt new skills and processes with confidence.

User Guides

The User Guides library provides employees with quick, easy-to-follow support for tools such as Coupa, Entrata Facilities, Microsoft 365, and after-hours call management platforms. These guides reduce onboarding time, reinforce training, and help team members complete tasks accurately and confidently through clear visuals, step-by-step instructions, and searchable reference materials.

QUICK APPLICATIONS

The Quick Applications suite was designed specifically for facilities professionals who spend most of their day in the field rather than at a desk. By providing instant mobile access to OSHA regulations, facilities terminology, and HR guidance, these tools reduce search time, support faster decision-making, and deliver critical information at the moment of need. This just-in-time learning approach improves operational efficiency, reinforces training concepts through real-world application, and helps team members perform their work with greater confidence and consistency.

GAMES

This interactive Jeopardy-style game transforms OSHA, Fair Housing, Inventory Management, and other compliance topics into a competitive learning experience that encourages active participation and knowledge recall. By requiring learners to retrieve information rather than simply review it, the game strengthens retention, builds confidence, and reinforces key concepts in a fun, low-risk environment.

Modeled after the popular game show format, this learning activity challenges participants to apply workplace knowledge under increasing levels of difficulty while using strategic decision-making skills. The combination of progressive challenge, immediate feedback, and team engagement improves knowledge retention, boosts learner confidence, and reinforces critical operational and safety standards.
