Great LEARNING DOESN’T START WITH CONTENT

Effective learning is built long before development begins. This section highlights the core documents that guide my process—from defining the problem to measuring results.

Each artifact plays a specific role in ensuring alignment to business goals, clear performance expectations, and a structured path from idea to execution.

Included are:

  • Project Intake Forms

  • High-Level Design Documents

  • Storyboards

  • Video Shot Lists & Scripts

  • Post Assessments

  • Branching Scenario Templates

  • Post-Project Efficacy Reviews.

Together, these serve as a repeatable system for building learning that is intentional, scalable, and tied to real performance outcomes.

High Level Design Document (HLDD)

What it is

A blueprint that outlines learning objectives, key topics, instructional approach, and how success will be measured.

WHY ITS IMPORTANT

It aligns stakeholders before development begins, reducing rework and ensuring the solution is strategically sound.

How it clarifies content and outcomes

It connects each learning objective to a specific behavior or performance outcome and defines how those outcomes will be assessed.

Storyboard

What it is

A detailed, screen-by-screen (or slide-by-slide) plan of the learning experience, including content, visuals, interactions, and assessments.

WHY ITS IMPORTANT

It serves as the single source of truth for development, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and intentional design.

How it clarifies content and outcomes

It translates strategy into execution—showing exactly how content, interactions, and feedback will drive the desired learner behavior.

Post Assessment Template

What it is

A structured set of scenario-based questions designed to evaluate whether learners can apply what they’ve learned.

WHY ITS IMPORTANT

It shifts evaluation from knowledge recall to real-world application and decision-making.

How it clarifies content and outcomes

It defines what success looks like upfront—ensuring content prepares learners to perform, not just remember.

What it is

A framework for designing interactive scenarios where learners make decisions and experience consequences.

BRANCHING SCENARIO Template

WHY ITS IMPORTANT

It creates realistic practice environments that build critical thinking and behavioral change.

How it clarifies content and outcomes

It maps decision points directly to desired behaviors, showing how choices lead to outcomes and reinforcing correct actions through consequence.

POST PROJECT EFFICACY REVIEW Template

What it is

A structured evaluation used after launch to measure the effectiveness of the learning solution against business goals.

WHY ITS IMPORTANT

It closes the loop—ensuring learning is not just delivered but actually drives results.

How it clarifies content and outcomes

It ties learning outcomes to real performance data, validating what worked, what didn’t, and what should be improved.
